 The type TMT-5 portable Kelvin bridge is designed to be used for resistance measurements within the range of 0,5mΩ to 6Ω in research and industrial laboratories, testing stations and school laboratories..

General Information

  • The TMT-5 bridge operates on the principle of a balanced Kelvin bridge with a slide wire.
  • A galvanometer specially designed for this purpose the sensitivity of which depends on the pointer deflection permits to dispense with the sensitivity control device and thus to facilitate the bridge operation.
  • Easy operation of the bridge owing to the application of a pointer deflection sensitive galvanometer and the arrangement of the range selector switch and the dial on a common shaft;
  • Both, the bridge supply and the galvanometer are switched on during measurement only by means of a key switch, this protecting the supply against unnecessary discharge and the galvanometer against overloads likely to occur as a result of faulty setting of the range switch.
  • The measuring ranges are selectable by means of a rotary switch.
  • The possibility of energizing the measuring system both from a d.c. supply and 230 V a.c. mains via a built-in rectifier;
  • Meter circuit with 4 measuring leads eleminate influence lead's resistance on result of a measurement.
